Making a Difference

Every two years, elections are held to fill seats on your Canoga Park Neighborhood Council. Your neighborhood council enables many valuable programs within our community. It is your direct voice to city government and departments in improving and growing our community. By registering to vote or considering to be a candidate, you will part of what makes our Canoga Park Community work for all of our stakeholders!

Registering to Vote

Stakeholders who live, work or own property in the neighborhood and who are 18 years or older may vote. Go to www.empowerla.org/vrp to register.
Deadline: April 11, 2016

  • If you missed the registration deadline, you can still register and vote the same day in person at the polling location on the election day of Sunday, April 17, 2016.
  • There are 25 board seats with 21 seats elected and 10 seats are up for election. These seats are 4 year terms.
  • The minimum voting age is 18 years old on the election day.
  • This Neighborhood Council requires that voters provide documentation of who they are and how they are qualified to vote.
